Page 5 of the Tome Series  - this pattern covers beading and includes instructions on how to draw and colour the big beautiful free spirit shown here in all her glory with her strategically placed beads. Beading techniques include bead embroidery, simple fringing, spikes and sculptural peyote stitch.

This pattern covers techniques with velvet to distort, enhance, mangle, paint and simply have fun. One side uses synthetic velvet and the other side uses silk/rayon velvet. There is also a pattern for the little pocket doll which lends itself to all sorts of fun embellishing.

Page 7 of the Tome Series. This pattern shows you how to make needlelace which is an ancient technique that is exciting when created with fun yarns and threads. One side is more traditional and the machined side is more contemporary.

Page 8 of the Tome Series  - this pattern uses both machine and hand embroidery techniques to make this fun fairy house. The pattern also includes a pattern for the "paper doll" style little fairy (although she is made of fabric) to slip into the door of the fairy cottage.

Page 9 of the Tome series. This pattern turns up the heat on tyvek and organza and gets fun results (but good ventilation and a face mask are a must!) Enjoy the effects that heat treatment has on these products which can still be stitched through for your tome page.

Page 10 of the Tome Series  - This pattern uses both natural and synthetic (Kunin) felt. Side one distorts synthetic felt with heat and on the other side you'll create felt with natural fibres.

Page 11 and the last page of the actual Tome. This pattern is the last in the series for the Tome. Silk is a wonderful textile and this pattern creates a collage of silk, includes a little silk doll that you dye and also some free motion work. The other side is a silk collage using raw silk, silk noil, silk rods and a silk chiffon scarf.

Arca - The box for the Tome. This is pattern number 12 in the Stargaze Stitchery series. However, unlike the other 11 patterns, this one is for a fabric box to keep your fibre tome in. This pattern could also be used to make a box to hold all sorts of treasures, jewellery or other mementos in or could be made as a very special 21st or wedding gift. It is truly spectacular!
